Alex can work with you in person or online

Alex’s sessions are about sensing the body
and its stories, those narratives that we hold and walk with every day.

Whether it’s your upper back, lower back, shoulders, knees, or stress levels
Alex will find movement and exercise to help you de-stress, find calm and build strength.

MOBILISE
WITH

Yoga

When you practise Yoga, you will embody movement knowledge that is centuries old. To complement your practice, add Yoga Nidra for relaxation and Pranayama for the breath. There are also modern breathwork techniques to improve vitality that Alex can help you with.

STRENGTHEN
WITH

Pilates

Pilates strengthens and optimises movement creating a stronger more vital and aligned body that’s ready and able to live and enjoy all that life may hold. Pilates can be an especially important exercise to support us as we age.

I have worked with Alexandra for the past ten years. I originally chose 1-to-1 sessions because my extensive travel did not allow for a regular class schedule. Alex has a unique ability that allows her to observe you before each session and then analyse the problems you might be facing on the spot. She will then vary each class accordingly. It’s excellent.

THE BENEFITS OF 1-TO-1

An individual session is a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Decide on your own schedule if you’re short of time

  • Deal with a particular injury, back problem or health issue

  • Lay a strong foundation in the various postures if you’re new to yoga

  • Go deeper into your practice and further understand your own body and mind as well as how best to avoid the risk of injury

  • Enjoy your own pace if you find classes too busy or too fast

  • Alleviate stress, if you’re having trouble relaxing or sleeping

  • Tailor-make your own practice if you are older and need more focused, safe movement

  • Be your optimum self

Case Studies

Yoga for health support

David started 1-to-1 yoga sessions online with Alex during lockdown. He was recommended by a friend as , in his early 70s and retired, he found classes were too fast, and he needed more focused work. With a history of diabetes and tightness throughout his body and recent treatment for prostate cancer to enjoy yoga he needed a bespoke practice, so turned to Alex.

Yoga for pain

N. Khairallah started working with Alex in his 70s. He’d suffered from back pain for the last 42 years, and although fit and healthy and heading towards retirement, he was used to being in pain. A friend recommended Alex, so he thought he’d give yoga a try. Over the course of a few sessions, Alex was able to help him unwind and relax tension enabling him to be pain-free.

Yoga for stress

Alex has worked with J. Jenn for many years now. He wanted to study yoga to release stress and learn how to meditate. He found classes too busy and given his history of knee injuries and a back op in his 30s he needed to be careful. His career meant he was constantly flying so time was an issue too. Alex was able to supply him with tailor-made classes that fit into his busy schedule.

Online Yoga +Pilates for optimal health

“Alex has been working with me every week for the past three years. Initially I started for my stiff back, limbs and joints, yet over time, yoga has evolved into much more. Even though we work online Alex has an incredible capacity to see what’s happening with my physiology, adapting each session to focus on what she sees as being required at that moment. Every weekly session is uniquely designed to improve my well-being and my life is so much better for the experience.” D. Patrick

Shiatsu + Cranial for peri-menopause

“Since entering into peri-menopause, my anxiety has hit the roof. My periods are erratic and I have experienced more aches and pains than ever before, including tennis elbow. After a combination of shiatsu and craniosacral treatment from Alex, i find that my periods regulate and i am calmer - this calmness lasts for days! The yoga and pilates help to strengthen the weak spots in my body, like my knees and shoulders. I wish i’d come across Alex sooner.” G. Mars

Shiatsu + Cranial for fatigue and heavy lifting

I work as a Director of Photography in film and tv, so i’m always lugging around heavy stuff as well as working on set all day and often into the night. I make sure to book in a shiatsu session with Alex as often as i can. It helps me deal with the long hours and general exhaustion. I’m pretty sure her sessions are warding off serious back issues too.” B Clarkson
