Registration is now open - JOIN OUR NEXT weekend RETREAT

Welcome to the wilds of North Devon

A weekend retreat

Come join us in the wild beauty of Lynmouth, North Devon.

In this stunning part of the world we’ve created an amazing programme interweaving yoga, relaxation pilates and meditation, with nature, sauna, wild swimming and stunning walks. The combo of fresh air, dark skies and the wildness of the nature is elevating and guaranteed to lift your soul.

So if you fancy long rolling hills to either gaze at or walk and yoga and pilates to release tension and stress, yoga Nidra to encourage deep sleep and a gorgeous sauna right next to the sea drop us a line.

The retreat will be your time to relax and nourish both body and mind through stillness, movement and breath. Plus - it’s open space so you can do as much or as little as you wish.

This is an usual retreat as some accommodation is off site giving you more independence and space.

With gentleness, understanding and respect for our own unique body, mind and breath we move to rejuvenate and refresh.

We meet on the Friday afternoon and begin the weekend with a yoga session followed by deep relaxation.

As the weekend evolves we’ll be encouraging the body and mind to unwind, strengthen and release. We’ll practice natural movement, yoga and pilates and have sauna and wild swimming available to ease the muscles and release the stress. Stunning walks, fresh air, dark skies and the wildness of the nature are on tap here.

We complete on Sunday afternoon.

“England's Little Switzerland”

Set beyond Exmoor, this expansive coast is majestic, so much so the poet Shelley called the area “England's Little Switzerland”. You’ll be staying a stones through away from the sea in a beautiful traditional village. The deep and wooded valley nearby is one of the largest remaining areas of semi-natural ancient woodland in the South West.

This place is beautiful both day and night.

Daily movement sessions held by Alex

We will practice, Yoga, Pilates and Yoga Nidra. All of the practises are designed to create release and relaxation in the body and mind. If you scroll down you’ll see the timetable. This is an open space which means you can do as much or as little as you wish.

Walking in nature

Paul Bloomfield… from the times cites this area as “Britain’s most beautiful coastal mile” It is indeed an area of outstanding natural beauty.

He cites two walks which are on our doorstep, Watersmeet and The Valley of Rocks as two of the best walks in the UK.

Watersmeet is a gentle canopied valley walk and gorgeous come rain or shine. The Valley of Rocks is more invigorating and leads to a series of beaches, waterfalls, and eventually Heddens Mouth, all of this walk is part of the ‘most beautiful coastal mile’.

Sauna by the sea

Let the heat of the sauna detox and destress your mind and body. It’s the perfect way to relax and release tension.

The sauna is positioned right on the sea so the view is quite special from in there.

The idea is to follow the heat with a plunge in the sea to invigorate and uplift you, and then go back in the sauna, so the heat and cool really move the lymphatics and the circulation.

Fresh water swimming in the sea is the perfect injection of freshness.

The sauna is subject to the tides, but we’ve got it scheduled in to work for this retreat.

  • Being right next to the sea yet surrounded by the moor and ancient woodland gives this place a special atmosphere. I feel as if I'm transported to a real place of joy every time i visit.

    David Brookes

  • This place is wonderful, the food gorgeous, the sauna on the beach exquisite, this is a slice of heaven. I can't wait to return. Thank you all, I feel great from only a few days here.
